The High-Level event will be the official adoption and endorsement of the Global Framework on Children, Youth, Peace, and Climate Security, accompanied by commitment for localized implementation. This launch will position children and youth as architects of the peace and security agenda emphasizing how conflict and/or climate-induced instability affects the safety and rights of children and young people in all their diversity, specifically calling for protected spaces for adolescent girls and young women that integrate physical safety, psychosocial support, and uninterrupted access to sexual and reproductive health services. The session also aims to mobilize critical climate finance for the Framework’s implementation underpinned by innovative financing mechanisms and research-backed data to track progress and ensure evidence-based climate-peace actions.
