The transition to a circular economy is often discussed as a sustainability challenge. Yet for industry, it is increasingly becoming a strategic growth opportunity. As the transition to renewable energy, electrification and e-mobility drives rising demand for critical raw materials, circular business models can help reduce resource dependencies, create new revenue streams and strengthen competitiveness. Recent research by the Federation of German Industries (BDI) and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) highlights significant potential for value creation, climate protection, resilience and innovation across key industrial sectors. Following an opening impulse, the panel will explore how businesses are already capturing value from circular solutions and what is needed to scale successful approaches across industries and borders.
