The event will explore how the commitments made through the Global Initiative for Information Integrity on Climate Change and its Declaration can be translated into concrete national, international and societal action. The first part brings together high-level representatives from Germany, France, Brazil and an others (tbc.) to discuss progress since the adoption of the Declaration, national implementation approaches and the role of information integrity in the UNFCCC process, particularly the new Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) Action Plan. It will also address the specific needs of the Global South and provide an opportunity to present initial national measures and ways of support. The second part broadens the discussion beyond governments, bringing together media, academia, civil society and cultural institutions: Goethe-Institut, Deutsche Welle and CON Policy will showcase practical approaches, highlighting opportunities for cooperation and demonstrating how political commitments can be translated into action.
